A major part of the 802 Secure console are the Data Tables that present the information collected by the platform. These tables generally follow a consistent structure around how the data is viewed and interacted.
Default Time Filter
When a data table is initially generated an initial filter to only show records from the last 24 hours is applied.
If no filter is applied a default limit will be applied depending on which data table is being viewed:
Page | Default Limit |
---|---|
Events, Accesspoints, Clients, Bluetooth/beacons | 7 days |
Cellular Towers, LrWPAN Networks / Devices | 180 days |
Simple Filter Building
Table filters use the logical methodology of AND/OR and grouping.
By clicking the Add rule button at the top right a new rule line will be created:
Selecting the dropdown will show the available fields to filter upon. Select a field and the next dropdown will appear:
Depending upon the field type selected, different operator functions will be available. In the case above (Trust Level) the specified values can be in or not in the search filter. For the data to match the above filter, only Access Points which are in the Trusted or Guest levels will be shown.
When ready select the Set button at the bottom right of the Filter builder window:
The filter builder automatically turns these fields into values suitable for the application on the filter bar.
Any filter can be copied to the clipboard for sharing by selecting the Copy Filter URL button:
Clearing or Deleting the Filter
To remove a filter entirely press the X button in the filter tab or the Clear button in the Filter builder. This will revert the filter to the default date limit.
To remove a field open the Filter builder and press the red Delete button.
Adding More Complex Logic
Additional logic can be added to the filter using the AND/OR and Grouping features through the available buttons:
