LOCH's integration with Cisco Meraki improves the capabilities of both systems by connecting data such as deployed WiFi Access Points, observed WiFi Clients, collect and respond to AirMarshal events, and track ALL devices in your airspace.
Create a Meraki API Key
An API Key for your organization is required for integration. If you do not already have an API Key follow the steps at https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/#!authorization/obtaining-your-meraki-api-key
Step 1 | Log into the Meraki dashboard. |
Step 2 | In the navigation panel click Organization > Settings. |
Step 3 | Under Dashboard API Access, check Enable access to the Cisco Meraki Dashboard API. |
Step 4 | Click Save changes. |
Step 5 | On the Meraki dashboard, click on your username in the upper right corner of the screen and then click My Profile. |
Step 6 | Locate the API access header and click Generate new API Key. Copy this API key somewhere safe as it will not be available after leaving the page. This key will be used in the next steps. |
Begin Meraki Import Wizard
Open the https://console.802secure.net/resources/meraki/wizard?api_key=new Meraki Import Wizard page:
Enter your API Key and provide a Name and select the Validate Key and Gather Organizations button then select your Organization from the list and advanced to next page using the Select Networks button.
Select all Network Name rows to gather data from and use the Select Wireless Networks button.
If desired select the appropriate Trust Level and if to automatically Assign if the AP is already collected by AirShield. Select the Continue button to gather details.
If all looks good, select the Confirm & Import button to finish the import.
Setup Meraki WebHook
The final step is to configure the Meraki WebHook that will be used to send events to the LOCH service. The relevant information is per-Meraki Network and can be found on the https://console.802secure.net/resources/meraki_networks page. Select the Show Details button from the network row to see both the URL and Shared Secret.
On the Meraki Dashboard follow the steps to add the WebHook information using the above information.
Step 1 | Log into the Meraki dashboard and select your Network. |
Step 2 | In the navigation panel click Network-Wide > Alerts. |
Step 3 | Under Webhooks, enter a Name, the URL and Shared secret. Use the Meraki payload template. |
Step 4 | Click Save changes. |
Add the Webhook to the Rogue AP and all Wireless Alert Settings as an additional recipient:
